I have been out shopping, checking out the Great S'pore Sale. I am a cheapskate when it comes to shopping and always zooming in for a good buy. I hardly ever buy any net priced items as I am not sure if the item will go on sale. Even when it is a sale item, I will make sure that I am getting a good bargain. I'll try my best not to make any impulsive buy whenever possible.
I guessed it is different when it comes to buying a house. I have been house hunting recently. Well, I didn't manage to stick to my rules -NEVER BUY ON IMPULSE! The house agents these days are out there to make a quick buck off you. I find myself in a situation where the agents are always pressurising me to make a deposit, telling me that this house is hard to come by or the price is extremely reasonable in the market these days. I ended up making a deposit on a flat that i didn't like and the deposit was forfeited. I was really upset with myself for a month that I've made a hasty decision and succumbed to the tricks of the house agent. I vow I will never ever want to put myself in that position again.
Remember don't buy anything on impulse. Make sure the items are worth the money you are paying, Check out a few shops before making a purchase and only buy when it is in sale. In thedeborahshop, we bring in luxury designer handbags that is of a fraction of the price compare to the boutique. All our bags are authentic, direct import from Europe. Coming from an experienced shopper myself, I want to be a smart shopper- to save money, not for anything else. And yes, I managed to buy a Prada dress from a cut label shop in Novena Square for $169. It is a bargain!
The Deborahshop is taking a break at the moment. Our online shop is no longer available. Thank you for your support.

Who's carrying Kate Spade?
We have been busy over the weekend....cos it s the starting of the GREAT SINGAPORE SALE till 24 June! It has been an exciting weekend for everyone in the shop as there were many people. At the same time, we are 'competiting' among ourselves to see who can remain the title of the Top Sales for the month. I am seriously lagging behind, catching up with Eden seems minutely impossible! I like going to work as my colleagues are such great bunch with exuberant personalities. We like interacting with our customers or whoever walks in. And here are some real life examples:-
"The side effect of the General Elections."
One customer was really eager to get her hands on any reasonably priced and nice looking bags and asked us for some recommendations as all our bags are exclusive and lower price than the boutique. She wanted to change her bag desperately as she was carrying a Katespade. It is such a taboo to carry a KS nowadays due to some association. This may not be known to many people outside the bag society, or maybe it's just a S'porean thingy. She told us that many people are ditching their KS! She bought a classic Cartier and of cos one happy KS convert.
Next, a couple came in and asked if we carry KS? Well, we were disappointed that someone actually wanted KS, nevertheless, we answered politely that we don't carry KS. They continued browsing and said they were happy that we don't carry KS....blah blah blah... and they end up buying a Fendi from us. A new fan to our shop. Yep, we did exchange some of our heart burning opinions and came to the conclusion that we do think alike on at least one topic.!
Someone came in, wanting to trade in their KS.
" Sorry Mdm, we don't take in pre-loved bags of any brands. We only sell brand new bags direct import from Europe.
We begin to wonder who are going to those KS sales in Suntec Convention or S'pore Expo?

In our shop, we try to promote bags using real life 'models'. We have none other than our own staff, Adnan and Eden to model these bags for you. One Hermes a month for the next 5 years!!!!
The General Election is over but the buzz still lingers. I was reading all the comments posted on the net and I feel that S'poreans are very united, in one voice, concerning one issue. If there is anything that Tin Tin has brought into this saga, she has at least unify us. Yes, she has indeed engaged the younger generations and netizens, isn't it?
Oh yea, back to business let's talk about bags. We have some new arrivals, Celine, Fendi, more Fendi, PS and Alexander Wang, the bags with load of studs at the bottom of the bag. Nope, we don't carry Hermes and LV, I know it is a pity. We are not here to earn big bucks, our bags are specially for the bag lovers who want their luxury and exquisite bags at a reasonably affordable price. We keep our price competitive and listen/take our customer's feedback and comments seriously. We do apologise for our screw-ups, for example our website and late arrival of our bags.We are dedicated to our job, passionate about bags and trying our utmost best to make our customers happy. Sometimes, we give up our commissions and receive warnings from our bosses for giving too much discounts. We provide excellent after sales service, such as free polishing and servicing of bags. At the moment we are going through some upgrading programme on our website, for the convenience of shoppers who like to shop online. :)
We are planning to have an early start for the Great S'pore Sales. At the moment, we are still cooking and finalising the details. So do watch out for this blog and it will be a mind boggling sale coming your way. Hope it will create a positive buzz!

New things coming our way
The GE fever is the talk of the town, much more than Chanel bags. I am so hook on the GE news and development. It's kinda drama, probably more like reality TV. I just love the 'gossips' and am waiting for the outcome on 7th May. An interesting note about this GE is that the Internet is flooded with various opinions and comments .In fact I am impressed with the logical arguments and insights that were written. This is something new!
Next, thedeborahshop is revamping our website and today, I finally saw the mock up. I thought it was quite good. I can't wait to show you all. But we will have to be patient till the website is up and running. Hopefully this will bring in more sales and better service to our customers.
Well, we are preparing for our debut Great S'pore Sale. We will be bringing some new collections from Celine, Fendi and Proenza. Proenza is new to our shop. Stay tune for this new stuff.
We don't need a reason to have new bags, clothes, shoes, making a new resolution ( cos the old one we made in the beginning of the year didn't work out) or have a new outlook on life. Personally, I like to break the year into quarters, to do some reflections and plan my way forward. Of cos, I peppered it with new things along the way, as a reward to spur me on!
