What will be your last bag of 2012 ?

will this be my last bag of 2012
I am guilty of it, ->overspending. Some of us have the tendency to spend all o

We are so caught up in the NEW YEAR, new things, new bargains and hence new everything, especially clothes, shoes and bags. And the result is that we have indeed overspent our shopping budget of the entire year even though it is only Feb!!!!

Well, if this is going to be your last bag of year 2012, don't miss out colours beside the essential black. Colours are not just black or brown, get bolder with tangerine or blue. These coloured bags should compliment the rest of your collection, wear them on different occasion and moods. Get a bag with texture, like wool, printed leather, fringe..etc. Bottega is known of it interlaced leather weaving and it adds an extra dimension. The Gucci 1973 design is a clean classic cut that will never go out off key. And the woolly Dolce, a lady bag that looks like it has some clothes on. It's fun.
What will be your last bag in 2012?
Enjoy the new things in life.

Happy Chinese Valentine Day

Happy Chinese Valentine Day

Today is the 15th day of the Lunar New Year, also the last day of the long drawn celebration. Each day signify a different meaning and ocassion and today is the Chinese Valentines' Day.
Perhaps an idea of what to get for your love ones this Valentines' Day ( Western style)? What about sweet lilac colour wallets, Prada 1M0506 or Miu Miu 5M1183? Both long wallets have 12 card slots, notes compartments and middle zip for coins. These are the standard features. I guessed it is the standard for most wallet b'cos it is a practical size, not too big or too small, optimum use of space for card/notes and one will not get lost in their own wallet! The colour is amazingly sweet, unlike pink or pastel pink that is way too sweet for a 30 year old. I would go with lilac or deep purple for a change.
Proenza remains my favourite bag. This is the PS1- medium size in saddle colour. I like the earthly shade and it goes well with almost anything. It has a lot of compartments inside for people who like to organise their clutter. The longer you use this bag, the leather will get more buttery soft and it adds to the character of the bag. It comes with a shoulder strap too. I saw some ladies carrying this bag as their carry-on hand bag in the plane. It's indeed verstatile, for all occasions. It's a good value for money.
Next, it is the ever popular Fendi Roll bag. The roll bag comes in different colours and prints for different seasons and it is always trendy. It has thin shoulder straps hence it sits well on droopy shoulders. It's thin strap somehow give the impression that it will snap if the contents are too heavy  but then, how much do you intend to lug around? The bag is well design and sturdy, enough to carry at least 5-6 kg. Dont judge this bag by its strap. It is one heavy duty bag.
If you are given a single stalk of rose, you are one lucky gal.
Happy V Day.

How to care for your bags

I have a few customers who asked me how to care for their bags so I decided to write something about it.  After spending a fortune on a new designer leather bag, you want your bag to last as long as possible.

Before you store your bags, make sure you first clean them with a damp cloth to remove possible dirt and dust that you have inevitably collected while using them. Air dry them first and follow the steps below.

If you have notice in our shop, our bags are always puff up.  We stuff our bags with butter paper in order for them stay in shape and to avoid creases. This is how you should store your bags when they are not in used, especially leather bags. It is very difficult to remove crease marks.

Always store your bags in the dust bags even. All bags should come with a dust bag. The dust bag as it is named, is to keep the dust out and protect your bags. If you have misplaced the dust bag, you can use a similar cloth bag or even a pillow case.

Air your bags at least once every 6 months to avoid moulds  from growing. If you don't use your bag for a long long time, you should also moisture it with leather cream so the leather will not peel or crack.

You should also consider bringing your bag to a 'spa', to get it cleaned and polished professionally. This would restore some shine, though wrinkles ( on some leather bags) and ink marks on leather bags cannot be removed. The good thing about leather bags is that they tend to age gracefully and look seasoned instead of old and tattered, if you care for them.

Take care of your bags and it will have a longer mileage.  It's all worth it.

We do provide free polishing for leather bags bought from our shop.
We have a tie -up with Colour Wash and our customers can enjoy some discount if you use their service.
