Tin Tin' Kate Spade bag again!

Ms Tin is making waves of news again cos this time she decided to put up her infamous bag for auction. Can someone approach our shop as I think we can donate some new bags for auction, for better cause.

I am a strong advocate of public service and raise funds for a good cause. I don't think it is necessary for one to get recognition for it, or for the media to create a buzz about someone charitable act. Perhaps we all got it wrong, the more publicity about the donors, the more money the item will fetch during the auction. That will probably apply if you are a great actor or singer, like Michael Jackson or perhaps the late Mrs Lee Kuan Yew. I believe people will pay for the items when the donors have created history and no longer alive. I am not sure whether the publicity of Ms Tin Pei Ling's Kate Spade bag will create the opposite effect.

I am sure the auction will go well as she has many rich supporters who will 'fight' for her bag, to ensure that the publicity won't go to waste. Whichever or whatever it is, the money will still be donated for a good cause. It is a win-win situation for all.

Another long weekend

This is another long weekend for S'poreans. I just love the thought that everyone has a break from work and spending time with their love ones or by themselves. For me, I have to work since I am running a shop but I am still glad that it is a none work day for most of us.

We have some new sequined glittering bags from Scheilan and Tory Burch which I thought these bags will be go very well with the Malay baju kurung.

I really like the Malay traditional baju kurung especially those with laces. I often see the entire family wearing the same outfit during Hari Raya. No detail is overlooked for coordinating outfits. It is always very well tailor made, same cloth for the husband and wife and of cos the kids. It is economical of scale, I suppose. You can easily distinguish them as a family by the way they dressed.

I also like the Malay family homes. They take pride in dressing up their homes with new curtains and carpets, the glittering lights to welcome their visitors. And yes, I didnt forget to mention about the yummy food they whip out. All my Malay friends seem to have this in born cooking or baking talents. The chicken curry and cakes smell delicious before you even see it. I can wait to savour them and asking for second helping.

I wish all my Malay customers Selamat Hari Raya.

Have a nice long weekend.
