How to care for your bags

I have a few customers who asked me how to care for their bags so I decided to write something about it.  After spending a fortune on a new designer leather bag, you want your bag to last as long as possible.

Before you store your bags, make sure you first clean them with a damp cloth to remove possible dirt and dust that you have inevitably collected while using them. Air dry them first and follow the steps below.

If you have notice in our shop, our bags are always puff up.  We stuff our bags with butter paper in order for them stay in shape and to avoid creases. This is how you should store your bags when they are not in used, especially leather bags. It is very difficult to remove crease marks.

Always store your bags in the dust bags even. All bags should come with a dust bag. The dust bag as it is named, is to keep the dust out and protect your bags. If you have misplaced the dust bag, you can use a similar cloth bag or even a pillow case.

Air your bags at least once every 6 months to avoid moulds  from growing. If you don't use your bag for a long long time, you should also moisture it with leather cream so the leather will not peel or crack.

You should also consider bringing your bag to a 'spa', to get it cleaned and polished professionally. This would restore some shine, though wrinkles ( on some leather bags) and ink marks on leather bags cannot be removed. The good thing about leather bags is that they tend to age gracefully and look seasoned instead of old and tattered, if you care for them.

Take care of your bags and it will have a longer mileage.  It's all worth it.

We do provide free polishing for leather bags bought from our shop.
We have a tie -up with Colour Wash and our customers can enjoy some discount if you use their service.
